As aspired by the resident owners of Vysya Bank Colony, a Meditation Hall with Temple Complex project was commenced with Bhoomi Pooja held on 28.10.2002 under the patronage and encouragement / involvement of Sri G Mallikarjuna Rao, Chairman GMR Group of Industries and Smt G. Varalakshmi Mallikarjuna Rao.
Prathishtapana of Sankashtahara Ganapathi was held during the period from 01.11.2003 to 06.11.03 under the guidance of Vedic pundits. On completing the major part of the construction of Meditation Hall Complex and Prayer centres, as advised by Vedic pundits, the Prathishtapana of the idols of Goddess Kanyaka Parameswari, Lord Venkateswara, Lord Shiva, Lord Hanuman and Navagrahas were held on 09.06.2006.

Premakala Gelli Park Temple Complex consists of Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari Temple, Shiva Temple, Balaji Temple, Anjaneya Temple, Vinayaka Temple and Sani Graha Temple.
This is a site to share knowledge, experiences and information of the various activities of Vasavi Charitable Trust conducted during the past and about the upcoming future programmes. Navratri is here and along with all the Dandiya, Garba and pujas, it’s also time for a lot of learning. The 9 days of Navratri each have their own significance and each signifies something beautiful. But then, you were aware that there are 9 days of Navratri, did you also know that each region of India has their own Goddess they worship during Navratri? Each of these Goddesses are forms of Shakti and there are 9 such Goddesses in all! Amazing, isn’t it? Here are the names of all those 9 Goddesses and the regions they belong to:
Multiple Locations
This is the most famous and well-known form of Shakti. Durga or Maa Durga as she is called is the presiding deity of West Bengal and she is known as the purest form of Shakti. She is the one who slay the demon Mahisasura and her power knows no bounds. Maa Durga was born when Brahma, Vishnu and Shankar were all three troubled by the atrocities of Mahishasura and even their combined powers could nothing to stop him. It was at this crucial juncture that Durga is said to have been born from the anger and helplessness of these three Gods along with the anger from many other demi-Gods fighting the battle against the demons.
South India
Bhadrakali is the second form of Shakti and is revered mainly in South India. She is a form of Kali but instead of being ruled by anger, Bhadrakali is known for her generosity and her helpful nature. She is the Dr. Jeykll version of Jeykll and Hyde. There are many versions of her birth but the most popular version is that she arose from Shiva and hence, like Shiva is dark in colour and has three eyes. She also has flames flowing from her head. The traditional martial arts form of Kalaripayattu is believed to have commenced through her tutelage and she protects the art form even today.
Maharastra
Mata Amba, also known as Jagdamba is considered to be the mother of the universe. She is primarily worshipped in Gujarat and some other western parts of India. A form of Shakti, she is just another name for Durga. In Maharashtra, she is worshipped as Ambabai and is said to be the Goddess who inspired Shivaji. Amba is just another name for Durga and she is the slayer of the demon mahishasur according to the western regions of the country.
North and Eastern Regions of India
nnapoorna Devi, as the name suggest is the mother of earth and food grains. She feeds her children and keeps them healthy. She is an avatar of Parvati and the Hindu Goddess of nourishment. Annapoorna Devi is shown to have a round face, red in colour and unlike other forms of Shakti who have multiple hands, Annapoorna Devi has only 4 hands. Annapoorna Devi is also worshipped during Akshaya Tritiya which is believed to be her birth date and she is a young, youthful Goddess who feeds all her children. Annapoorna Devi is worshipped in Northern and Eastern regions of India and she is a benevolent Goddess.
South India
Sarvamangala Devi or Goddess is the Goddess who blesses all and prays for the benefits of all. She is kind and spreads happiness all around. Sarvamangala Devi is worshipped primarily in South India and there are temples dedicated to the Goddess in different parts of South India. Devi Sati, who is also another form of Parvati is worshipped through Sarvamangala. There is a temple dedicated to Goddess Sarvamanagala known as Saravamangala Peeth is located in Bodh Gaya in Bihar.
South India
As fierce as Kali and as wrathful, there is not much difference between the two except for the fact that Bhairavi is the consort of Bhairava. Bhairavi Goddess is known to be good to those who are kind and nice and vengeful to those who incur her wrath. Bhairavi was so fierce in appearance that her mere presence on the battle-field was enough to frighten the warriors and lower their morale. Chandi, the fierce slayer who everyone fears is another name for Bhairavi. She is also known as Chamundeshwari as she killed and drank the blood of Chanda and Munda, the Asura chiefs.
South India
Chandika, or Devi Chandi is worshipped as the emotional form of Goddess Durga. Chandi is either furious, passionate or terribly destructive. Chandika is also treated as Kaatyayani, another name for Goddess Durga and she is born in a similar fashion. When the Gods became furious with rage, all their energies combined threw out flames and it was through this ball of flame that the female form of Chandika was born. She is said to be one of the cosmic forms.
India
Tripurasundari, also known as Lalita, signifies beauty and the grandeur of the three worlds. She is the foremost and the purest form of Adi Shakti. Tripurasundari is made up of three different Goddesses or the 3 Goddesses of the 3 worlds: Shodashi – the Goddess who signifies youth, Lalita – who signifies childhood and Rajarajeshvari who is the Queen or the ruler. She is the most beautiful of the Shakti Goddesses in her appearance with a naturally fragrant body.
Maharastra
Bhavani is primarily worshipped in Maharashtra and she is another form of Amba or Durga. She is said to be the inspiration of Maratha warriors out at war and they derived strength from her. Bhavani is said to have vanquished Matanga and slain him, freeing the people from his tortures. She is revered for her acts.
South India
Mookambika Devi is another name for Parvati and she is the most gentle and the nurturing, motherly aspect of Shakti. Parvati is known as Mookambika Devi in Sotuh India where she freed the population from a tyrannical demon. Kaumasura lived in the Udipi district of Karnataka and terrified the people living there. It was predicted that the monster would be slain by a woman and it was Mookambika or Parvati who killed him and freed the people. They constructed a temple in her honour and the temple stands to this day.
India
Adi Parashakti, and Adi Shakti, is the supreme goddess in the Shaktism sect of Hinduism. According to this tradition, all Hindu gods and goddesses are considered to be manifestations of this single great Goddess, who is comparable to the deities Shiva and Vishnu as Para Brahman. Shaktas often refer to her as Durga, also believing her to have many other forms such as Tripura Sundari, Bhuvaneshvari, Kali, Parvati, Navadurga, Mahavidya, Lakshmi, Saraswati, etc. Author Helen T. Boursier says: "In Hindu philosophy, both Lakshmi and Parvati are identified as part manifestations of the great goddess—Mahadevi—and the Shakti or divine power"
Shaktas conceive the Goddess as the supreme, ultimate, eternal reality of all existence, or same as the Brahman concept of Hinduism. She is considered to be simultaneously the source of all creation, its embodiment and the energy that animates and governs it, and that into which everything will ultimately dissolve. She has manifested herself as Shiva in male form. Her half is Shiva
India
In the Devi Gita of Devi Bhagavatam, it is suggested that before incarnating as Parvati, she appeared to King Himalaya and revealed divine, eternal knowledge to him. She explained herself, in the words of the Vedas, as having neither beginning nor end. She is the only, eternal truth. The whole universe is her creation. She is the only victor and the manifestation of victory itself. She is a manifested, un-manifested and transcendent divinity. She then displayed her scarcely seen form to him: Satyaloka was located in her forehead; the created universe were her hairs; the sun and moon were her eyes; in her ears were the four directions; the Vedas were her words; death, affection and emotion were her teeth; maya was manifested by her smile. The goddess Parvati as Kushmanda gives birth to the universe in the form of a cosmic egg which manifests as the universe. Ultimately, Adi Shakti herself is the zero energy which exists even after destruction of the universe and before its creation.[
The Complex has become a place of assembly for ladies and gents to chant various religious recitals like Sri Lalitha Sahasra Nama, Sri Vishnu Sahasra Nama, Govinda Namavali, Hanuman Chaalisa etc on every day. Several educational, medical and social activities are being conducted from the platform of Vasavi Charitable Trust. The Trust also is conducting free Homeo Clinic and Allopathic Clinic on weekly basis offering medicines and consultation free of cost. The trust also is supporting the orphan and poor children based in Samarthanam Trust, Hulimavu, Bengaluru.
Sri Vasavi Charitable Trust Conducts Social Activities like Distribution of Ration to the Poor or Blankets or Wheel Chairs for Handicapped People.
Medical Camps will be conducted now and then to the poor people, helping the Poor People where ever it is required.
Educational Activities like conducting learning camps, Conducting Quizzes for the Kids and Sponsoring the education for the Poor Students.
Environmental Activities like Go Green Activities will be Conducted now and then By Sri Vasavi Charitable Trust.
During the Festivals Conducts Cultural Programs or events will be conducted by the Sri Vasavi Charitable Trust.
